Somp, as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Davidson and Jones Construction Company, is charged with managing all financial transactions, financial reporting, project controls, and administrative functions. Years prior to Davidson and Jones, Somp started his career as a CPA, working as an auditor with Thomas, Judy & Tucker, P.A. Somp holds a B.S. Accounting degree from SUNY Brockport.
Somp is the former President of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) of the Triangle and the Treasurer for Hearts & Hands for Haiti, a local nonprofit organization. In his spare time, Somp enjoys golfing. He is an active member of his church, Asbury United Methodist. Somp and his family have called the greater Raleigh area home for 18 years.
